  • Marcus Jackson was elected to serve the citizens of District 2 on the Prattville City Council in October of 2016. District 2 holds a special place in his life because he was raised there by two loving parents.

    As a graduate of Prattville High School, Councilor Jackson served as his senior class president. He went on to attend Auburn University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Management. After his college graduation, Councilor Jackson worked in the corporate sector in Atlanta before returning to Prattville to work in education. Councilor Jackson has coached football with Prattville High School and Autaugaville High School during his more than ten years as an educator in the classroom. Councilor Jackson currently works as a Behavior Coach with the Autauga County Board of Education and serves as a coach with the football staff of the Cats of Prattville Junior High School.

    For more than 20 years, Councilor Marcus Jackson has mentored hundreds of young people through Brother2Brother, Sister2Sister, and Project Uplift. He also serves as a board member for Alabama E.D.G.E. –an innovative program that exposes young people to life and career skills in hands-on, real-world environments.

    He serves as a member of The National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials, The Autauga County 4-H Advisory Council, The Prattville Lions Club, and The Pride of Jemison/Clanton Masonic Lodge #630. The Autauga County Education Association honored Jackson with the Rookie Teacher Award in 2007, and the Prattville-Autauga Character Coalition awarded him the 2012 Service Organization of Character Award. In 2019, Councilor Jackson graduated as a Certified Municipal Official by the Alabama League of Municipalities and was appointed to The National League of Cities’ Community and Economic Development Committee. He is also a member of Leadership Autauga County’s graduating class of 2019.

  • Marlon Anderson left Prattville for the University of South Alabama, and became a second round draft pick in 1995 by the Philadelphia Phillies. He played 5 seasons with the Phillies as a second baseman and lefty hitter.

    Following the 2002 season, Marlon became a free agent and began a journey that would allow him to play with the Rays, Dodgers, Cardinals, Nationals, and Mets. Anderson hit one of the home runs on the legendary four-consecutive home run night with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The bat used is currently displayed in the baseball Hall of Fame.

    Marlon finished out his Major League career with the Mets in 2009 and was inducted into the University of South Alabama's Distinguished Alumni Association the same year.

    Marlon worked as a hitting coach with the Washington Nationals and New York Mets organizations and as a Baseball Analyst with Sirius XM, Comcast Sportsnet, and MLB.com.

    Throughout his career, Marlon worked with the MLB RBI program focused on helping minority youth learn the sport of baseball. He has also coached and mentored minority teens with the MLB Dream Center, preparing them for college scholarships.

    Marlon resides in the Atlanta area with his wife and 3 children, but often returns to Prattville to mentor and work with youth in his home community.

  • Dr. Russell is a 30 year veteran educator who now works for the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education.

  • Oscar Berry, III is a mentor and social entrepreneur with a passion for youth and community development. He previously worked under two members of Congress from Alabama. He also founded Alabama EDGE, Inc. and XMAN Performance & Development for student athletes. He currently serves as a teacher and coach at Valiant Cross Academy.

  • Herman is a financial management professional with a passion for serving his community. His parents attended North Highland High School in Prattville.

  • Dr. Cromblin is a native of Prattville and completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Alabama. She has decades of academic and clinical experience spanning across military and civilian medicine. She has spent the last decade in academia where she has instructed in allied health and nursing programs. She is a healthcare advocate and spends much of her time pushing for federal legislative reform. She is the Vice President of UAUDOA, a non-profit organization that seeks to place well-qualified physicians into the healthcare workforce.

    Dr. Cromblin is the author of “Made in His Image: A Call to Advance the Faith,” and has also published research in both cardiology and pediatric medicine. She is very passionate about today’s youth and, through the State of Alabama, has fostered many children in her home. She is equally as passionate about older adults and is the founder of Life Expectancy, an organization that assists with activities of daily living for the same. She also volunteers at the Medical Outreach Ministry.

  • Marcia Cherrae Jackson is a native of Prattville, Alabama and mother of TJ, Khalil, and Ian. She is a Prattville High School and Auburn University Graduate. Marcia has earned a Bachelors, Masters, and Education Specialist degrees in Early Childhood Education. Her career began as a Head Start Teacher, Second Grade teacher at Prattville Primary School, and she continues to advocate for children and families of Alabama as a Region Director with the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education. Marcia is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. KX Chapter. In the community she serves as a member of First Missionary Baptist Church.

  • Bill Lewis received his undergraduate degrees in political science and economics from the University of the South. He received his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law. He is licensed to practice in Alabama and Tennessee and has also practiced law in Florida. He resides in Elmore County.

  • With a passion for community empowerment and development, Nia Hightower has spent the better part of her career highlighting stories about underrepresented communities and promoting efforts toward diversity, equity and inclusion.

    Her own advocacy and community interests are rooted in projects related to social justice, the arts, the environment, education and mentorship.

    Hightower helps amplify corporate social responsibility efforts and community engagement as assistant vice president for content strategy at PNC Financial Services Group, based in Pittsburgh.

    She previously worked as director of content strategy at Georgetown University, where she developed content campaigns highlighting the university’s mission and messaging along with stories featuring the research, scholarship and excellence within the student, faculty, staff and alumni communities.

    Most of her work has focused on highlighting the experiences of first-generation college students and commitments to access and affordability for underrepresented students. She also led communications around the university’s racial justice initiatives and the recent announcement of the Racial Justice Institute at Georgetown.

    Prior to her work at Georgetown, the native Alabamian served as director of media and public affairs at the historic Tuskegee University, a research analyst and writer at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery and a journalist at The Charlotte Observer, The Tennessean in Nashville and the now-defunct Birmingham Post-Herald.

    A graduate of the University of Alabama and Georgetown University, she is a member of ColorComm and a longtime member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

    Though based in Washington, DC, the Prattville High School graduate still has family residing in her hometown.

  • Brent Fykes is a native of Prattville and proud graduate of Prattville High School. He is currently Managing Director and Head of Growth Strategy for CIBC Private Wealth Management in Florida. He has more than 25 years of industry experience working with high-net worth clients to provide holistic wealth management solutions.

    Brent was named to Worth magazine’s Top 100 Wealth Advisors for five consecutive years and was featured in numerous media outlets (including Bloomberg, Fox Business, Bankrate, Financial Planning, Investment Advisor and FundFire), where he discussed various wealth and investment management topics.

    He received a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in financial planning from Georgia State University.

    He is a member of the CFA Institute as well as the South Florida Society of Security Analysts. Brent is a member of the Foundation Board of Palm Beach State College, a member of the Kravis Center Young Friends Executive Committee and actively supports Little Smiles, the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama, and the Quantum House in West Palm Beach.

    Brent resides in Jupiter, Florida with his wife, Melissa, and their two children, Luke and Ashley. He is an active member of the Jupiter-Tequesta Athletic Association (JTAA), where he coaches youth football, baseball, and basketball.

  • Karen Allen grew up in Prattville, Alabama, and is married to Prattville High School sweetheart Shay Allen. They have a daughter, Cameron. Karen received her Bachelor of Political Science degree from Auburn University, and Juris Doctorate degree from Birmingham of Law. She resides in Birmingham, Alabama and has worked as a paralegal for Wiggins, Childs, Pantazis, Fisher & Goldfarb, LLC for the last twenty years.

    Karen enjoys her career assisting individuals who have been discriminated against by their employers on the basis of race, gender, age, disability or religion. She enjoys helping in her community working with Habitat for Humanity. Although she no longer resides in Prattville, she has strong ties with the community and has a desire for all individuals residing in the Prattville community to thrive.

  • Mrs. Victoria D. Relf, Esq. is a devoted wife of 23 years to Trooper Twaski Relf, Sr.; a mother of three wonderful adult children; a proud member of The Landmark Church of Christ; and a high-octane entrepreneurial trial attorney known for loving to fight for the underestimated and underserved.

    Over the years, Attorney Relf has served the community and her profession through committed and passionate volunteerism. When asked what drives her, Attorney Relf will tell you quite simply, “I’m on a mission to serve God by serving others.
